This personal ‘zine (or, perhaps, a hard copy blog) has come a long way: it’s now comic-book-sized, with card stock paper and offset printing. But the warmth, humor, and fascination with the minutiae of everyday life remain. Under the pen of a lesser writer, the tales, anecdotes, and essays might cloy, seem like so much daily blarney. Mr. Meyer’s craft and sunny disposition eggs us to read on. Sometimes there’s a point. And sometimes what mysteries there are, remain. All in all, creatively presented and humbly engaging. This issue came with a bonus mini-zine, The Scrap Paper Review. Mr. Meyer also included a small comic tale, “An Unfortunate Mouse in Our House” ($1 extra), sure to bring a smile to anyone.
